The area of Brownstones down in brooklyn always have an air of mystique about them. The kids play on the stoop people yelling at each other from windows...Very 1920's architechture

go to Queens. from LIC to Roosevelt Avenue. you will be confronted with the hipsters to those who have immigrated to the states only to face disillusions. along the path--are many eaterys worth visiting. Though considering some of your ny photos...you already know this... 7th line train..takes u all along the area... * Willamsburg brooklyn...has a variety of interest... from your hipsters to the Jewish community. and of course...good food. * go to brighton beach to visit russia. *
Brooklyn these days is good for portrayal of hipsters...in fact even the areas that were once spoken of here---are becoming gentrified. For example: red hook --though bed Stuyvesant might still be true. * harlem is also a good area to document. it has alot of historical aspects you wont find elsewhere. and some good eaterys. a good place for BBQ... dinosaur BBQ in 132nd street and 12th avenue... they also have live music on friday nights... check out their website... they also have logs of beer tastings with their selection of over 27 different brews...a good place for tourist to have a feel of nyc...while not being too tourist. * NYC...as to what was --is hard to find natives... like days of old... they've been forced out... LES...is now your gentrified hipster town...while its great for that ---and the buildings are the same... its hard to find an old timer...though they are there. * working class heros... aren't on fifth avenue... Go to waters edges...on the west side... but even then...everything seems to have turned around.
I will be living in Harlem. I already went to Williamsburg twice. And Brighton Beach, my film didn't load and I had beautiful photos, so I had a blank film at the end. grrrr. Roosvelt interests me, but a lot of photos have already been made there. But I will go there.
